I'm Mackenzie Smith known as “Mack” on the field. I’m currently 5'8" and 125 lbs. I will be graduating from George Ranch High School in Richmond, TX in 2024. I am the starting goalkeeper for the Albion Hurricanes FC 2006 ECNL-RL and for my high school varsity soccer team. I have been playing soccer since I was three and my passion for goalkeeping started about 9 years ago. I've put countless hours into the craft of goalkeeping and trained with some of the top trainers around the Houston area. I pride myself on having good communication and distribution. I am also very strong in 1v1 situations and shot stopping.
Soccer and goalkeeping have brought me so many friendships and amazing memories, but it has also taught me that things aren't given to you in life. You have to work hard and never quit no matter what gets thrown at you. I believe that my work ethic and leadership abilities have grown both on and off the field due to the opportunities the sport has given me. Off the field I am a very dedicated and engaged student, trying to juggle a busy soccer schedule along with the heavy advanced workload from school. I've maintained a 3.85 GPA throughout high school, along with the extracurricular clubs. I was a member of the TSA and joined SkillsUSA this year and plan to pursue it next year as a Senior. SkillsUSA has taught me how to work in a team environment, more like the ones you would experience in a day-to-day job. I'd like to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, followed by Law School to become a Lawyer.
